The MTF-1 was designed with military and law enforcement in mind. The liners are made of heat-treated stainless steel which produces a very rigid frame and locking bar. The blade is extra thick to give the user additional tip strength; at the same time the grind lines are high enough to produce a razor sharp blade edge. The handle material is G-10 (a glass phenolic) and is impervious to liquid and temperature changes and is extremely tough for any environment. Added to all these wonderful features is a safety which makes this knife even more indispensable.

This knife was designed primarily with our soldiers in mind. It is a heavy duty field knife, utilizing a drop point blade shape. This blade shape is easy for the user to re-sharpen in the field. The point location is close to centerline which is easy to find at night. With a shallow belly the user has a lot of control over the blade during cutting. The drop point blade adds more strength to the tip of the knife. The shape of the handle is very comfortable in the hand, even if you are wearing gloves during cold weather operations. The texture of the grip allows the user to have more control of the knife even if it is wet.
